Hake is a lean white fish with mild flavor which texture is like cod. Get this easy to cook hake fish fillet recipe with potatoes and onions, a healthy and yummy fish recipe very common in the Spanish cuisine!
Julienne the onions and cook over low heat for 3-5 minutes in a non-stick frying pan with 3 or 4 tablespoons of olive oil and salt.
Peel and slice the potatoes and add them to the frying pan with the onion. Cook over low heat for 12-15 minutes more.
Place the potatoes and onions into a roasting pan.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175º C).
Rinse hake fish fillets in cold water
Sprinkle salt, black pepper, parsley and 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the hake fillets.
Place hake fillets into the oven plate.
Bake at least 15 minutes. (A good tip to calculate the time is to bake 15 minutes each 2 pounds).
